Doug is a native South Carolinian. He attended the College of Charleston where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in physics and math, graduating summa cum laude. He earned an additional BS in mathematics and obtained a teaching certificate.

In 1992 Doug was the first student awarded a Master of Science degree in mathematics from the College’s new University Program. Shortly after receiving his MS in mathematics, Doug joined the College’s math department as an adjunct faculty member. He continues to teach course work in statistics, calculus, business calculus and algebra.

In 2005 Doug began his real estate career at Carolina One Real Estate. He quickly observed the importance of pricing and set about collecting data and compiling statistics on the Charleston area real estate market.

Doug served as a real estate statistics consultant for Carolina One Real Estate from 2009-2011. He then decided to offer his expertise and skills to fellow agents throughout the Charleston area. The services he offers combine his skills and knowledge in math, real estate, and education. He seeks to provide meaningful data to his colleagues. In turn, this information will empower real estate professionals with greater knowledge and help them and their clients achieve maximum success.  He has now decided to offer these services to the agents in the Charlotte, York, Asheville, and surrounding counties.

Doug is happily married to Kathleen and has two wonderful, grown daughters, Alex and Beth. He is a member of the Charleston Rotary Club. He enjoys playing tennis, chess, riding his Harley, and golf in his spare time.  He and Kat have a second home in Waynesville NC where they love to hike and chase waterfalls.  And you might catch Doug on the Tail of the Dragon with his Harley.
